About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality installation of flooring materials, and collaborating with other tradespeople on-site. The Flooring Installer will be responsible for delivering exceptional craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet according to specifications.

• Read and interpret project plans to determine layout and installation requirements.

• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing flooring materials.

• Perform tile laying with precision and attention to detail.

• Conduct construction estimating to assess project needs and material requirements.

• Execute trim carpentry tasks as necessary to complete installations.

• Carry out water damage restoration work when required, ensuring proper techniques are followed.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.

• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including carpenters and painters, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding project progress.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction fields.

• Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols.

• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.

• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to flooring installation.

• Experience in restoration industry practices is a plus.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project demands.
